What Do You Love Most About The PSone?

If there are any, what would be the main reasons why you loved, or still love, the PSone?

@BlackGenjii: though I don't own it anymore,but there were lots of games to keep my late childhood kickin' one of them is obviously PEPSIMAN(good heavens that game was awesome) goddammit I'm thirsty,hold on let me go get my Pepsi,a huge can of refreshing pepsi.

The memorable games.

As I should have recalled,I can't make the joy of gaming with the PSX the fullest without Harvest Moon or Klonoa: Door to Phantomile

Tomb Raider, probably. That was the first system I played it on and had a lot of great memories with that game.

What I disliked most about that system was the memory cards.

my teenage years (nintendo had my childhood...dammit im old?!), where i never once thought i can be infatuated by CGI characters when i first played FINAL FANTASY 8 lol

Bringing jrpg into western mainstream and Tony Hawk 1 and 2.

Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, Crash Bandicoot, Soul Reaver, Chrono Cross, Oddworld, Medievil, Tomb Raider, Vagrant Story, ISS Pro, Fifa, Parappa the Rapper, Bust-A-Groove, Street Fighter Alpha, Rival Schools, Parasite Eve, Legend of Mana, Dragon Quest, Ace Combat, Tenchu, Bushido Blade, Tekken, Dino Crisis, Rayman, Spyro, Twisted Metal, Ridge Racer, WipEout, Syphon Filter,...etc.

And I'm sure I missed many more...that's how special and wonderful the PS1 was for me and for many.

That mofuggin' start up intro theme. And the Crash Bandicoot games.

Looking back that system came out when Coolyfett was in the the 10th grade and during that time Coolyfett has stopped playing video games. Coolyfett can remember a few friends in high school having the PS1 console and can vividly remember playing MK3, Madden Football & NBA Live on a few late night sessions at friends houses. Coolyfett never actually owned a PS1 though. Its good that Sony brought it out considering Segas future was getting blurry and dim.

i dont play ps1 games anymore but what i can remember about the 90s is how many games the system got it was unbelievable

MGS and FF7.

great and long turn based RPG : FF7 and 9, Suikoden, Breath of fire, Legend of Dragoon, the fighting games with about 15 special moves for each character and no ultraspecial ultimate move : SF2, Toshinden, Star gladiator, Psychic force (a remake on PS4 would be earth shattering), Tomb raider, Psychic detective (yes it wasn't that good, but an interactive movie with alternate endings was great then)

Reason I love psone is it got me into Tomb Raider,Reisdent Evil,Silent Hill

Still have my original Playstation and The PSone with the mini LCD screen. along with 58 games for them. The PSone had some great games and began the Playstation legacy that continues to this day with Playstation 4.

My favorite playstation series is Twisted Metal. hopefully there will be a PS4 installment a some point.
