What do you guys think of MGO?

IMHO it is not that good, maybe in short bursts but the single player (unlike other games) totally demolishes over the online. Plus releasing the expansion over the konami website instead of the PS store is not a smart move. MGO was fun at first but as you get a higher rank and play more it starts to feel bland. I do like the skills though, there is plenty to keep you busy but playing too much gets it repetitive.

Whats weird is MGO looks and plays exactly like MGS4 but I have waaay more fun playing MGS4 than MGO. I have played the story about 3 times now and not getting bored but once I get in an online game I dont feel much excitement.

And before posting any negative comments like "oh you just suck thats why" etc. remember this is an opinion thread and I justed posted mine, Whats yours?

Do you guys even touch MGO?

i play it once in a while just to fool around. lol its not that great but its better than no online. lolzmunkeypoo45

I haven't got a chance to try it but that is because I never played an online game before. I might give it a try but I'd like to know do you still need to do that long registration thing which a lot complained aboutStar650

dont let that stop you from trying, the reason why it was slow before was casue everyone was doing it at one time. If you have fast internet you can get an ID in about 5 mins

its good but MGS4 is too much better

I love it and play it all the time. It's simple and the maps are really dynamic. I also have a soft spot for third-person shooters, though. MGO should keep me warm until SoCom.

Some of the maps are definitely better than others. but that should be expected. Id pin it as a cross between COD4 and SOCOM. I think it will definitely keep the SOCOM fans out there happy until Confrontation arrives but overall its a pretty great experience.

Unfortunately, I think the whole deal with the Konami ID and not releasing things or running the game through the PSN was an abysmal idea that Konami will likely ride to the grave, which kind of sucks because it has potential to be really great.

i dont think it should be much trouble anymore, but whenever the beta came out it was horrible

anyway i love MGO. the game itself is alot of fun imo. although having to get the konami id, not being able to use psn accounts and the expansion causing a ton of problems really piss me off.

It was ok. But needed alot of improvement. It was so laggy and pales in comparison to games like Halo or CoD4.beinss

The lagging is just you, i dont lag at all.

its very unbalanced, or at-least that's what i came away with, why go for CQC or shotguns when people can get instant headshots with the m4 (which is all anybody uses). and shotguns do pathetic damage. in-fact most of the weapons system over all is unbalanced

regardless its VERY fun when working. but there are to many issues for it to shine, another one... teamates get cought in YOUR traps :|

If you mean a drop in framerate, that's a different issue. It's just that Groznyj Grad is pretty big.

It still has potential but konami can only fix this throught free updates.

But as we all know mgs is all about single player it was never meant to be an online game.

its definately tactical

prepare to get one hit koed and headshotted alot... if you never played rainbow six of socom you will definately hate it rite away.

i like it despite the lame movement speed and clunky controls, it will hold me over until socom
