Since the PSP Go (R.I.P) and the PS Vita are digital only devices, shouldn't Sony allow us to send in old UMDs to have those games / Movies registered to our accounts? Many of our favorite games won't be re-made.

I wouldn't say they should allow it. It would be a great deal for their customers, but they're into making money and letting people trade in used umds for digital copies doesn't helo them at all. Besides, the Vita isn't the 1st system without backwards compatability. The snes didn't have it and neither did the genesis, n64, or the 360 (for the msot part).
It's a new system with a new format. You'll either have to keep your old psp and umd's or trade them in for the new system and try and recoup what you can.
The Vita isn't digital only... It won't be BC, but it still will use flash discs for games.

It will use cartridges.

Ah ok, thanks, I forgot what they were called.
I'm hoping "New Game Media" won't be the final name. :P I think all Sony wanted to do was say they were creating a new storage format.Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a description of what it is, not what it's called.[QUOTE="lensflare15"]
