I went to Gamestop yesterday to trade in my PSP and games and much to my suprise I got $110 for the system! That's crazy. I was only expecting like $60 or $70, but definitely not $110. I don't know if this is uncommon or what. The clerk scanned the barcode on the bottom of the system and that's what it rang up at. I was pretty happy since I paid $199 for it about 2 years ago. I'm not really a portable gamer and was pretty much talked in to the PSP when I bought it (damn peer pressure, lol), so losing $89 after 2 years isn't bad.

Just a heads up if anyone was thinking about trading there's in for a newer one or just trade it in for something else. Like I said I can't guarantee that other Gamestops will give you that much, but that's pretty cool if they do.

That doesnt sound right. It may have rang up as what they sell used ones for. Anyhow, good for you but I believe $60-$70 is the normal trade-in value.

That is defintly NOT right, the employee DID NOT ring that up right if it came up at $110.. since the slim model only trades at $100.

That sounds weird, since normally they should only give you around 70 if that...

Trade-in promos, guys. You would usually get $70, but promos raise it up a bit, plus the Edge Card. I did the same thing a couple of days ago.

No promo that Gamestop is running right now would take a fat PSP to $110. And ify ou want us to believe your Edge card did ANYTHING for trading in a PSP, you are either blatently lying, misinformed, or you think we're stupid. Edge card doesn't give you 10% on systems.

Ok, I checked my reciept and it says next to the system "newer". I guess what happened is that the clerk took it in as a slim PSP. The only thing that doesn't make any sense is that she scanned the barcode on my PSP. Shouldn't that have triggered their computer to show that it was an older PSP? Hmm, who knows.

Also, I did use my Edge card which gave me the extra $10, so that's why it was a $110. Those places screw us gamers over all the time, it's alright to get back at 'em once an awhile. :P

Ebay is much better.

I would START the bidding at Gamestop's trade-in price.

Lol I hate selling at GS. I mean, c'mon. I sold my old fat PSP with a huge crack in the screen with two games, charger, and a case for $60 a few days ago at school. But congrats on unintentionally screwin' over GS on that trade-in lol. XD Woot...

it couldve been that they had no psp's at the moment or they hadnt had any in for awhile. game stores always give more when they dont have an item presently.

dude, that a little creepy. they are just video games. I can assure you that they have no memories of you. Maybe a girl friend (or boyfriend, I don't judge) would have a better memory to match yours. ha ha ha.
