See, I'm not good with these sorts of fighting games. I've rarely played them. Is Mortal Kombat less... complex than Street Fighter? Is it easier to perform attacks, combos and finishers? Would I be able to get into it even though I haven't played much Mortal Kombat?

attacks combos and finishers are easy or the same .

But you must know that blocking is on a face button and not the d-pad

Not really that great of a game. Online lags, minimal things to do outside the campaign and laggy online. The dlc is way over priced for 4 characters.

It was fun for a week, then got boring.

I love Mortal Kombat. I wouldn't say it's less complex than Street Fighter, but the super moves are easier to pull off. You don't need to do so many double quarter circles. Don't buy X yet though, wait for the SuperUltimate, Game of the Year Edition. Or get the Komplete Edition of the last game.

It is about on Par with SF, and it is fun in SP, or local 1 v 1

Online was fairly broken, but I am not sure you would want to play it online given the worry about difficulty. If you can find it cheap, I might try to get a hold on it if I were you, it is structured fairly well in SP, making it one of if not the best SP beat/em/up on the market (together with its predecessor).

@ebolarising: Injustice is almost the same game as Mortal Kombat. You could get that cheap and see if you like it
