You're right, you aren't the only one who thought about this. This thread has been done dozens of time already.
But to answer your questions: 7 bluetooth devices can connect to the PS3. That does not only include the controllers, but also other things such as headsets or other input devices (keyboard, mouse).
Only because the PS3 could theoretically make use of 7 controllers, that doesn't mean that games will be made for the odd number of 7 players.
Only because a car can go 200mph, you don't have to constantly drive it at that speed, do you?

ahhhh thank you i hadn't thought of that and sorry for posting another of this thread...and no you dont have to drive it that fast but it would be way more fun to drive it that fast.
thanks and sorry for posting an annoying thread
ok i'm only gonna say this once!
many sports games were there are multiple players on screen support up to 7 players NBA 2K7 supports up to 7 offline, and i think Madden and NHL 2K7 does aswell, i mean a 6 person battle royal or 3 on 3 tornado tag on Smackdown vs Raw 2008 would rock!
[QUOTE="mistervengeance"][QUOTE="groo667"]the ps3 can connect to two hdtv's andribjanope. Why did you bump this old thread?
It used to with the protoype PS3 which had 2 HDMI ports, but one HDMI port was taken out due to cost. who needs 2 HDTVs plugged in a console anyways????

Me
im sure i cant be the only person to have considered this but with support for up to 7 wireless controllers out of the box how will they handle split screen? will four be the max for split screen at once or something similar? im fairly certain they have made no announcements about this but i wanted to see how people think they will handle it.psychofireYou have to look at games like flow that can have two people playing the same game without using split screen. I assume that 7 people party games would play similiar to SSB, Flow, or other games of that nature where you would have a high top view and have several people playing at once.
