Nobody believes that you got an email announcing that SE is not making a FF7 remake, if thats what you're trying to say? :| SE have already said many a time that there remaking old FF's, I wouldn't be surprised if they announce it at E3..
Just because they announced that they won't make one doesn't necessarily mean it's true... There is no law against lying to a magazine. :)freakyzeeky1986

It's entirely possible that SquareEnix is trying to keep it under wraps until E3 or some other giant gaming event... ;)Â
Well, I would have thought that the E3 to catch or even the other giant gaming event would have happened already within the two years this idea first sprang up. Since it didn't I really doubt they'll remake it. Now, there's nothing stopping them from going back and creating a new game using the same characters (as has been done already), so that's always a possibility.
Ok so now we know for sure that a remake is not on the horizon but what about a re-release for the PSP. Come on SE! I've been waiting to replay this for ages but don't want to start in case it comes to PSP (I also want to replay VIII & IX. the PS1 final fantasy's are legend!).
One day they will... They have redone every final fantasy up to VI. Some of them were redone more than once. They were all very successful. It is almost certain that they will give us a remake of the 7th.
oh well it seems we'll have to look forward to FFXIII and let us hope this become as sucessful as FFVII if not then seems like the dark ages could be coming soon for PS3 unless MGS is still a PS3 exclusive i hope. anyway i guess they can look on brightside for Killzone, the getaway, heavenly sword, ratchet and clank, however still a disappointment since the remake of FFVII would of got PS3s selling off fast.
