Sorry if this is old news (I just read it off the new issue on Game Informer), but I think that it will be a bad idea (Not unless they consider making the 60 GB PS3 the new "Core" at $500, & making the 80 GB PS3 the new "Premium" at $600). Who really needs more space for the Hard Drive? 60 Gigs is quite enough. Now, if they consider doing that, then more people will be buying the 60 GB PS3 more than the 80 GB PS3. I don't know exactly how they are going to do this, but I don't know if they're making the right move by doing that.

Wasn't this a rumor or something? If this is made, the only thing that will be different is the HDD space.

There are way too many threads about this topic. And it was proven to be a rumor.

Playstation 3 owners can already swap out their ahrd drives for larger drives uptp 200GB internally and 750GB externally.
