I am thinking of getting the god of war psp bundle... knowing everything we know, is buying a psp a smart move? (im doing this because i feel my ds has failed me:()
I use to be a Nintendo fanboy, the Wii and DS ended up making me sad that they are only approaching casual gamers (even though having a Wii does satisfy a certain itch even once and awhile).
I played my friend's PSP and I love it.
Why? IMO its setting the standard for this generation handheld that I love.

Amazing graphics for a handheld (DS is too weak)
XMB and handheld customization(awesome for a handheld but horrible for a console)

Thats basically my 2 cents. It's the best handheld and it can be very useful. When I get mine, I'll be taking mine everywhere.

I say go for it, right now is a great time to get it what with the God of War bundle out, and there's a large amount of good games already out for it that you can play till the new E3 games are out.
you shouldnt ask yourself whether to buy a PSP or not... but why dont you own one already...
E3 showed us once again why PSP is so great, apart from the never ending list of multimedia functions.... the games... wow i can't believe there will be Valkyria Chronicles, Resistance & Super Stardust :) also Patapon2, MIdnight Cub & Locoroco2....
Get one, the best combination this gen is Pc, wii and psp. Each has it's unique set of games and great things. The great things about the psp being it can be used for more than games when you finish all of them, it has a good selection of games, it has srpgs (my favorite console genre and the reason I bought the psp), you can watch movies (not great quality like on tv but better than ipod), music... list goes on. Don't think of it just as a game system, more of a multi-media hub.
I was about to start a similar post. I too am very disappointed with Nintendo. I put my Nintendo DS and 10 DS games up on Ebay last night. I've had it with Nintendo.
My only concern with the PSP is...the PSP 2 or whatever it's going to be called. How soon do you think it will come out? Should we just wait for it?
Yeah, it's a smart move. It doesn't have a lot of great games released for it for now but like someone said above, there are a couple of big name games and expected great games for the PSP announced in E3.
I am a nintendo fan more than anything but now would be the time to get a psp. I remember when they used to be over $200. Now they are only 170 new. But you should pick up chrono trigger when it comes out for the ds.

the psp is an amzing device. as much as i love gameing on my psp, i find myself uding the music and video features even more. and trust me, i play it a lot. get the bundle, you can't go wrong.

hahahaha Actually i am joking of course! Of course getting a psp is a good move. Especially if you have a Ps3. The remote play is awesome if you have a ps3 and some old PS1 games (twisted metal, resident evil, or gran turismo for example). and psp games like GTA VCS and GoW COO are great.
You should get a ds. It will have spore. Think about it spore! My computer can't run that, so the ds must be more powerful than a 8 year old computer. So it's worth considering.

LOL, i hope you are being sarcastic. Cuz an 8yr old computer is garbage. and the DS is slightly more powerfull than garbage. but the touchscreen is nice i guess lol
I bought the god of war bundle and picked up patapon and final fantasy tactics ( i wanted disgea but couldnt find it and i especially wanted Tales of the World, but that game is so rare it might as well not exist:()
Anyways, im very happy with my purchase, thanks for the help.
