I am thinking of buying a PS4 next week in the UK. I am hesitating whether I should do it (impatient!!!) or wait for the Ultimate 1TB edition that comes on the 14th of July. How much difference in the price will there be?

The difference between the two models isn't so big...i think its just sony's move to give the PS4 sales boost. i handle great with my 500 GB HD but it's just me... don't know about the prices i think that maybe if you think you would like to sell your PS4 in the future wait for the newer model, but if you are just dying to play it (and i know how it feels) just go buy it.
I'd wait for the 1TB, the 500 GB fills up way faster than the ps3. After about 6 months, i filled up a 500 GB, and had to delete games.
I would get me an ordinary, everyday 500 GB version and purchase a 2 TB HDD to swap. That´s what I did when I got my PoS4, then I grabbed that spare 500 giger and upgraded the original 160 GB in my PS3 slim for it, the 160 found a home in my laptop when the HDD in it hit the dirt.
I'm not that into digital games since I like trading, so 500 is more than enough for me. If you're someone who likes a digital library, go for it. But if you're like me and mostly play on disks, you can hold a pretty decent library on 500 GB. It does fill up faster than PS3 though, but again I think for the average gamer 500 is plenty. I'm sure the 1TB is going to be at least $150 more but that's just my guess
@amyh7292: The PS4 installs each game fully, digital or not. The disk factor is just that, if he wants a disk.
I would check the price. If they want more than a $50 (or equivalent) bump in price, I would buy a 500GB and upgrade it yourself.
@darkspineslayer Don't know why I didn't realize that! For some reason I thought running the disk meant the entire game didn't have to be downloaded onto the console. Good to know, thank you. Maybe I'm confusing it with my Nintendo DS which saves to the cartridge, and therefore isn't as big of a file as a store download. Either way, I was wrong so don't listen to me, but either way I think 500 GB is a decent storage size but the bigger the better if you can afford it or have the patience to upgrade your pS4
500GB is more than enough for me. Just delete games that you aren't playing anymore. It doesn't affect your saves.
I have to do that on my 111GB PS3 and it's annoying. I'm excited for the PS4 I got coming. 500GB alone will be a huge upgrade.
@GTR12:
Agree. I have two PS4's each with a 2TB HDD. Takes about 30 seconds to swap out, the only pain is finding the right update and all that jazz but not a big deal once you get the correct one. BTW, I've had my PS4's less than a year and the 2TB (1.77 really) is getting full. So you may even want to consider a 3 or 4TB. Think about 3-4 years down the road. 500GB is a worthless joke. So is 1TB...

The max internal is only 2TB, they dont make 2.5" any larger yet.
I can have 6TB tommorow if I wanted, thats what my PS3 has, but I dont need it yet.
I'm sure their 1 TB edition will probably use a slow, cheap hard drive. Just buy your own and replace it yourself.
