Resident Evil Chronicles HD Australian pricing... WTF

Okay so I was pretty excited to pick up RE Chronicles HD off the PSN today

I figured since the American PSN has it for $26.99 it'd be about $32.95 here or something?

$44.95. Thats $17.96 more than American pricing and our dollars are virtually the same. RIDICULOUS!

I'm so freaking annoyed. Looks like I'm going to need to make a US PSN account and buy a US PSN code off Ebay.

Yeh, i know what you mean man. I was excited to see it got released today but then when i saw the price i was like, nah, no way i'm paying that.

I had heard that there was going to be an "inquiry" into electronics & software price gouging (there was a call for one, anyway) by the government. Perhaps now that they've got the content issues sorted, they can get on to pricing?
