The demo has only heightened my anticipation for the game ten-fold. R&C will be utterly amazing.

You seem to beconfused about what "loked a X frames per second means".

It means that the game will never go over 60 frames per second, but in it's most graphically demanding moments, could very well go down to 1 frame per second (just giving an example). So, of course that "loked at 60 fps" means that the framerate can go to whatever number below and including60. That's how it's always been and always will be. Even the beat'em up 2D games like Street Fighter 2 or whatever game you like, had variable framerate depending on what was happening on screen, even though they were capped at 60.

Loked at 60 is still excelent news and it means that for the most part the game will indeed feature a strong 60 frames per second (excluding those intense graphical moments like extreme close-up explosions which, depending on the optimisation of the game, may or may not affect the framerate), which deliver a somewhat faster and smoother action compared to a 30 fps lock.

Why if it doesn't have a gun on screen all the time is a game considered "childish". PLEASE! This game is far from childish and anyone who thinks it is for a second ought to get their head examined. Game is GREAT!!! Demo kicks ass...Got mine preordered....only two more weeks to go!

I've put in about 16 hours on R&C: Going Commando right now, and as far as I can tell, I'm about 3/4 of the way intomy first playthrough. If there's one thing about R&C, the hours definitely flyyyyyyyy byyyyyyyyyy...

I'm considering getting R&C at launch, just to support the developers and my console of choice. But the reality is I've still got so many PS2 games I've been hording over the past couple of years that I haven't even played yet. I need to concentrate on those before the flood of awesome PS3 software hits... so, like, I guess I have until next month... geez...

not surprised. the demo ran at about 60fps and ratchet games are usually around 15-20 hours long. Excellent! That should prevent any whining from critics about short games or PS3 frame rates!

Thing about those 16 hours is that you will not get bored. 1up (ps3 hater site) even said just when you think that you are going to get bored they throw something else new to you.

Great News

I personally believe R&C is indeed going to be a AAA title. The demo was old-school platforming mixed with incredible visuals, and amazing gameplay variety. And it was 5 freakin' minutes long. And I'm going to get16 hours of that?! It is indeed a good time to be a PS3 owner. :P
