Resistance: Retribution? From what i've seen, the Graphics are dazzling for a PSP game and the gameplay looks pretty fun, although i can't say much not having experienced it. Nonetheless, thank you for your suggestions. Fat Princess, boy have i heard wonders about that game.

I'm highly considering getting Smackdown vs Raw 2011 for the PSP, but i know nothing about wrestling games for the PSP...Any input on this matter? Please and thank you.

I haven't bought a wrestling game since WWF Attitude on PS1. But that one was good :p

when you finished the campain there is nothing else to do. Exept for the mulitplayer which is really boring since you can only play with 8 players and there are no rankings/ranks

#609 Posted by Daavpuke (13769 posts) -
No idea when it's coming out exactly for the moment, but itis promised to still come out this year.

Ys Seven was fun,Hopefully that collecters' pack comes out soon. Got a couple questions: 1) The other Ys games have same gameplay only short stories? 2) Any 'hidden gems' on ps store: Let me reword: Wats the best RPG on the ps store that's not like VC 2 or something 'mainstream' 3) Wats a good mindless, relaxing puzzle game on the psp? Either store or umd. It doesn't matter

^ You should try the Echochrome demos

hi. im getting my 5 year old a psp slim ( what seems to be everyones recommedation) . i need help understanding what games i shoudl get for him. from what i see, most of the games out there are pretty graphical or complex and he mite just end up board of it..and toss aside his psp... i dunno..maybe he'll grasp it faster than i expect. i play tetris on my old nokia and have never really gone to the next level.... so im a bit out dated and need some serious advise..... thnx

What fighting game should I get for the psp? I'm considering either Darkstalkers or Blazblue at this point, but could be inclined to decide based on another recommendation.

LocoRoco is pure charm, but it might be difficult for a five-year-old. The Ratchet and Clank games are quite kid friendly, as well as LittleBigPlanet, and sports games are always fairly age-appropriate.

I didn't like BlazBlue when I tried it. Many people loved the series, but I largely prefer Darkstalkers.

It felt too random and not fluent enough to time properly.

Guys, should I get MGS PW or Phantasy Star Portable 2? I played both their demos and loved both of them, so I can't decide :/

I haven't played Phantasy Star Portable, but I can say that MGS Peace Walker is hands-down one of the best PSP titles. Given the chance, I wouldn't replace it for any other game, besides perhaps Crisis Core. But Between the two, definitely Peace Walker. If you own a PSP, you must play this game.

I really liked peace walker, the game has a great balance of action/stealth, tons of extra content(side missions, weapons, AI hunting)

Definetely get it, you won't be dissapointed.

Off the PS1 classics store do you guys recommend C&C red alert (btw how does this game play on psp anyways?), Silent hill, RE(1,2or3) or twisted metal 2? Or is there a another ps1 classic or mini that is amazing (no FF please)?

Thanks

C&C is awesome. You'll also like playing Constructor! Also, theme park and hospital are pretty good, but Constructor is the even better version of that, mad fun. Vagrant Story is technically not Final Fantasy and one of my PS1 favorites. Driver 1 is an awesome experience. so is WipeOut, but you might as well go for a PSP release. If you like SimCity, you can get the 2000 release. It'll eat time away for sure.

What's the best platformer for the psp right now? I'm looking for a good one. I bought Megaman Maverick hunter, not to big of a fan of that game. Any suggestions?

#632 Posted by Daavpuke (13769 posts) -
Unfortunately, platformers are just about the only genre I do not enjoy (anymore), so I can't say much for it. If there are the standard Ratchet and Clank / Jak and Daxter franchises available for it (and I'm quite positive they are), they're a safe gamble.

I've never even seen one. But if they are like the standard other popular anime games, I'm not for it. It's a niche product.

Ok guys, I'm really not sure about these 2. I've heard so much praise and critisism for both that it's made my choice so hard!

Phantasy Star Portable or Breath of Fire III?

#638 Posted by KillerWabbit23 (3466 posts) -

I'm looking for a good PSP game under $15, preferably an RPG or racer. Platformers are fine too.

the entire Essentials series will do you, sir.

the Phantasy Star games have become very dull. I don't know about portable, but if it's anything like Online, I'd go with Breath Of Fire.

I need suggestions on which 2 of these games I should get.

Star Ocean: First Departure
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles

I'm looking for games that will last me a really long time.

#641 Posted by Daavpuke (13769 posts) -
Valkyrie Profile and Star Ocean.
#642 Posted by Granpire (2749 posts) -
Well Peace Walker is an absolute must-get, that's all I can say. As for long-term value, Peace Walker is a game in which there is an incredible amount of gameplay. I'm in almost 90 hours, and there's still a ton of extra missions to complete. The others, you'll have to ask other opinions, as I'm not familiar with any of the others.
#643 Posted by Farhanfonfabre (11 posts) -
that game make me love psp ~!!
#644 Posted by SLRMC93 (176 posts) -

For racing may I suggest outrun 2006 coast 2 coast? It really brought back old memories of the original. But none the less great job.

#645 Posted by Daavpuke (13769 posts) -
I prefer the original :D.

[QUOTE="DGDG1989"]Is getting a PSP worth it just for the following games? Dissidia Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Naruto Shippuden Legends, Soulcalibur Broken Destiny, Rock Band Unplugged, Phantasy Star Portable, God of War Chain of Olympus, Resistance Retribution, Bleach Heat The Soul (I know there are 6 games but which one is the best?)

dude phantasy star is on the sega genesis collection for the psp. It has 4 phantasy star games on it, plus many more. Also, you can save your progress in that game on the memory stick and resume. Same with all of the games on it.

Blazblue: Calamity Trigger should be on there imo, easily the best 2D fighter on the psp.

I still can't get into those games myself, but they're cool sure.
