Hey guys. My PS4 is dead (or more accurately it's in intensive care), and I need help. I played my PS4 this morning and everything was working fine. I came back a couple of hours later and suddenly there were two problems:

1) The PS4 couldn't connect to the internet. I tried connecting it through an ethernet cable but it kept saying it couldn't detect anything. I tried all the usual internet faff, like restarting the router, but no luck (my internet is otherwise fine and all other devices are connecting).

2) More worryingly, the disk drive wouldn't work. It wouldn't accept any disks (there is currently no disk inside). When I tried to insert a disk, it just made an unhealthy sound.

So to remedy this I tried (in order) resetting the PS4 several times (including after unplugging everything); restoring default settings; rebuilding database; initialising PS4; reinstalling system sofware using a USB stick with system version v.4.01 installed.

But nothing has worked, even reinstalling the system software . Most importantly it still won't accept any disks.

Any ideas? Anyone else had this problem? Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance :)
