@hassan123: 360s are getting discontinued and the PS3 has the benefit of a Blu-Ray player for nearly the same price.
I guess it boils down to which one you like best and the exclusives you are interested in.

I wouldn't buy a used 360 though, I would avoid that.

I think the first slim didn't have as much of a problem with the heat issues as the super slim.

Graphics will be the same for all the different PS3s.

PS3 is more powerful than the 360, but the graphics are still very similar.

Get a slim if it's not too expensive.

Thanks for answers

First.i dont care to the price.i just want the best one.

And why the super slim is suffering the "heat problem" more than the slim? Why did they call it "super"?

And does it really suffers the "heat problem"?

Because there is alot of persons who said the didn't have any problem in "overheating" with super slim.

I've had my super slim for an extremely long time, and heat has never been an issue. So maybe the heat problem is only for people that live in hot environments?

Ok. Ps3 super slim 500GB sounds good.

especially that we in middle east are hacking the ps3 to play alot of games for free.so 500GB is quite good for this jop.

LOL

If that´s what you are into ( purchasing/ playing illegal copies of copies ) then X360 is king in that department, PS3 not so much.

Better is a matter of opinion, so stop with the stupid fanboyism, I own all the systems.

The PS3 Slim and Super Slim are both unlikely to have heat problems. However, any advocation of piracy is prohibited on GameSpot. Do not discuss which is the best system to steal games on.

Please check out the rules here: http://www.gamespot.com/forums/playstation-nation-1000002/playstation-nation-board-rules-updated-may-8-2015-31156009/#0

To answer your question about graphics - the PS3 versions will all have comparable graphics - minor revision changes to the hardware were not intended to change performance other than energy efficiency.

As far as PS3 vs 360 graphics - those differ. Other than the most platform-dedicated gamer, most will probably agree that the 360 typically had nicer output on multiplatform titles. This isn't because the hardware was "better" per se, but rather that it's much much traditional and made it a cinch for developers to write games for and port to. PS3 has some exclusives that truly shine (see, e.g., Uncharted 2 and 3) because the developers knew the weird hardware they were developing for inside and out.

Honestly, since both systems are "outdated" I wouldn't get too hung up on which one has better graphics, because both are "decent but outdated" when it comes to current gaming standards. Just get what you like (for example, if it has the exclusives that you want)

You're welcome. I have a 160GB "regular" slim and it is cool, quiet, and a great machine. It replaced my original 60GB backwards compatible "fat" model - that was a nicer machine in some ways because it was built like a tank and fully backwards compatible. But it was loud and hot (and died). My main complaint with the PS3 is the controllers are only "ok" and the operating system is kind of slow and finicky - using the PS Store on it is painfully slow, for example, and when it gets an update it just forces you to do it immediately before you do whatever you were trying to do.

I think the PS4 is a better system in almost every way - but of course it is more expensive, online is not free, and it doesn't have 10 years of games to play.

@xantufrog: my old "fat" one died too.because of overheating.

I just want to be sure that the super slim is better then the slim in the "overheating" problem.if you have some info About it.

Ps4 is not too expensive.its games are the expensive.

I doubt the super slim is better than the slim temperature-wise. But neither is known for overheating - that was only a "fat" model design problem as far as I'm aware

The Slim takes a dump on the Super Slim 24/7/365, the Super Slim is just a piece of overvalued cheaply made junk. The problem now is trying to find a good slightly used 160-250 GB Slim because NIBs are near impossible to find. A Slim with an upgraded to 500 GB - 1 TB HDD is a serious rig.

@xantufrog: Me: What about the graphics?

You: What?

OP: What about the graphics?

You: Oh yes, the graphics.

Now, me pointing this out is picking a fight? I'd say you preferentially read and get annoyed when it's pointed out to you.

@oi_oi_spanky: no, what you said was "Ok? What about graphics" in response to my post warning not to discuss piracy. That had nothing to do with my post. You then accused me of not reading the OP, phrasing it in a snarky and accusatory manner: "Didn't you bother to read the whole of OP's post? So much of that goes on. You won't be the last I'm afraid.". I then clarified why I was confused, and returned ANOTHER snarky response clearly aimed at picking a fight: "Easily confused then?". And you have now finished off AGAIN with a snarky response, insisting you know my motives better than myself: "Now, me pointing this out is picking a fight? I'd say you preferentially read and get annoyed when it's pointed out to you."

Give it (and me) a break - this is off-topic and disruptive trying to box me into a corner that you incorrectly decided existed in the first place and won't let go.

aaaaand we're done here. OP was answered, questionable topics were raised, and armchair warriors insisted on picking fights where there are none. Locking
