PS3 Problem!!

Arggghhh

I was playing MGS4 a few days ago, when it froze, the PS3 turned off... and the red light started flashing!

I turned it off, i tried to turn it on again, the green light comes on - goes yellow, then flashing red....

So i can't turn it on... i rang Sony and they can replace it.... but then ill lose all my game saves (including GTA, MGS4, COD4 online)

Does anyone know a way i can get the saves off my PS3 without turning it on?

yes. this plan will work 100% but im not sure if its ok to do. take the hd out of your ps3 and send it to sony without a hdd then when sony fix it put the old hdd into the console. not sure what sony would say but if u ring sony and say this too them they might allow it. get them to send u a new ps3 that had no hdd
