So im just starting Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3 which is a very visually intensive game. My screen options for playing are as follows:

Acer 23" 120hz LCD Monitor (1920x1080)

Sharp 32" LED 60hz (simulated 120hz) (1920 x 1080)

Samsung 46" LCD 120hz (I think 120hz, its a 3d tv so I guess it has to be)

So my question is which option will provide the best image quality when playing a ps3 game @ 1080p?

Is true 120hz worth picking the small LCD monitor over the improved brightness and color of a larger 60hz LED?

What option would you guys go with?

Samsung I would say, but can't you just try all 3?

Depends on your viewing distance I guess.

Why would you need a 120Hz monitor?

This.

Your Samsung has the largest screen and not to mention its a Samsung. My 42" LG has superior picture to my borther's 46" lesser brand LED set.

Also in my experience 120Hz is only suited for live TV and sports.

overall, samsung 46" is the best choice here...

unless you are a kid or student with limit budget, otherwise playing PS3 on a large TV is always the best choice

Is this a trick question? Haha, Samsung all the way man. Espcially if its the 3d one, its being said right now that 3dtv's are giving the best 2d picture quality. So even if you don't have much 3d content, just normal watching is going to be Superior.

Well, it somewhat depends on your viewing distance, but overall I'd go with the Samsung, but make sure you set it up correctly, took me some time to get the best settings for gaming
