You can plug it in and charge it via the USB ports on the front of the PS3, I'm not sure about streaming music to play though, I haven't worked out how to do it with mine yet.

The only way I know how to put music on a PS3 was burn the tracks from a CD in the PS3. That is how I got my playlist for High Velocity Bowling.[QUOTE="Crazy_Squid"]You can plug it in and charge it via the USB ports on the front of the PS3, I'm not sure about streaming music to play though, I haven't worked out how to do it with mine yet.

Ah right, thanks
Actually I want to get music onto my playstation but it won't read my mp3. The only alternative I can think of is burning about 50 CD's or doing a round trip with my PSP's memory card about 700 times.... any better ideas?
I would like to know too. I went the CD route took me 4 hours a day, for 4 days. What a pain.Actually I want to get music onto my playstation but it won't read my mp3. You can do what I do, buy an external Hard-Drive...They are cheap! You can use the small once that you can buy for about $10...
Place your music on it and then plug it into the PS3 with USB, then you listen to the music move it or whatever you want to do . )

I live in Ireland and they're more expensive. Still cheap but not worth it just to use it once.
It does seem a little too extensive to me. For $20 dollars I bought audio cables and hooked my older MP3 player to my stereo. My new MP3 player connects right to my TV. The newer one plays movies , music or whatver I load in it right through the TV. I just wanted some songs to listen to for the games that allow that. You can do what I do, buy an external Hard-Drive...They are cheap! You can use the small once that you can buy for about $10...

[QUOTE="kerv4005"]Kind of ironic. That post smells very trollishKinda ironic Xbox is more compatible with ipod than PS3..
siwelcram
not really because apple is microsofts main rival in the pc market, and microsoft programs dont work on apple systems and vica versa (without ports or somthing)
yet in the consolse they're both compatible
think thats wat he's getting at
Much easier way of doing this
1) Download Tversity http://www.tversity.com/
its free
2) Install it, add your itunes folder + any other music/video folders for tversity to monitor
3) Start the server on tversity and then on your ps3 go under music/video and click the search for media servers button (if its not there you have to go enable it under network settings.
Tversity will actually stream videos or music of different formats and convert them and stream them in real time!

Won't work if you want to use it as custom playlists annoyingly... That only works if your doing nothing else which annoys the heck out of me.Much easier way of doing this

i want to buy an ipod touch but i want to know if i can plug it into the ps3 and play my music.sozle
You can charge it through the PS3, but thats it. Besides, iPod Touch's are a waste of money. Get a 160gb Classic for $250. Much better deal than a Touch, which starts at I think $300 and 8gb.
