I've been a playstation person all my life but when they first launched the ps3 i wasnt interested in it at all. I currently own a 360 but I've been debating lately if I should pick up a ps3. 360 has some solid titles coming out like banjo-kazooie (one of my favorite games on 360 although they are changing it up a bit with vehicles and such...) They also have halo wars and gears of war 2 coming. However playstation has Socom (my favorite online game over halo and all others) and metal gear solid 4 as well as a rock solid lineup coming in the future. What do you guys think I should get? What do you have? or what would you get? Since pricing is no longer an issue? This is a really hard decision.

A good investment? As long as it doesn't break on you. It's been a great investment for me. I'm on the ps3 alot these days. Well worth it.

Cheers,

I think you answered your own question. I myself am debating whether I am going to buy a xbox 360 elite when I get my pay in two weeks for some upcoming rpgs, however Im not sure yet because of the RROD problems associated with the 360. We will see I have not made up my mind yet.

Well, since Blu-ray won the day, I'd say that it's an excellent investment at this point. It's well within the price range of the 360 and plays Blu-ray disks as well or better than some standalone players on the market. You have to hope it doesn't brick, which is my main concern, I've heard Sony is a pain to deal with over warranties. That being said, the failure rate is supposedly less than 1/10 of 1% (0.09% or less) and I don't know anyone who owns one that has experienced any cataclysmic failures.

So far mine has been an excellent purchase, but it doesn't get nearly as much play as my 360 and as far as games go, the PS3 has some great ones (MGS4, Uncharted, R&C Future, Warhawk, etc) but I havn't been wowed by any of them like I have some of the 360 exclusives. Going to stop there before this turns into a rant page, but I would whole-heartedly recommend the PS3 to just about anyone, I havn't been disappointed at all with mine.

Most definitley. It sounds like it has many features and games that you may want. Being that its improving all the time, yes it is a great investment.

Ive been owning a 60 gig since launch and find its one of the best investments that ive made next to my laptop. I mean its really bang for your buck and then some!
