PS3 black screen

Hello, I have a ps3 fat, which when I connect to my monitor ( optiquest q22wb ) shows nothing but just blank screen, it detects something, it lights up but it does not show anything, just black screen. I am using cable HDMI to DVI this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2m-DVI-to-HDMI-Digital-Cable-Lead-PC-LCD-HD-TV-6ft-GOLD-/120343383549?hash=item1c05064dfd:g:CEQAAOSwPhdUz2ck. I have tryed pressing and holding until two beeps to reset display, nothing. I have tryed to change resolutions on another monitor and connecting to mine, still the same. I have tryed connecting ps4 and xbox 360 to my monitor and they both worked, only ps3 is not working. What should I do? Maybe the cable is bad? But ps4 and xbox 360 worked.

@dyneks: Is the monitor HDCP compliant? the PS3 will not work if its not.

Yeah PS4 and 360 don't care, its just the PS3 which is annoying.

@GTR12: So is there any way I could connect ps3 to my monitor? I dont care about resolution and stuff like that, I just want to play games. My monitor has D-SUB and DVI connections, so maybe I could buy a composite to dvi adapter or something like that, but would not be too expensive.

Wont work, you need to use an analogue TV or monitor with composite cables.

If its a digital TV/monitor, it must support HDCP.
