You are not allowed to post about homebrew. Not to mention that being illegal.

The sony way:

 1. Buy A PS3
 2. Register your psp with your PS3
 3. Access the playstation store then pay $10 for a crappy psone title that sony offers
 4. Fire up your USB cord, and wait for the 400+ MB game to download.
 5. Now you can play your PSone game that you downloaded.

And now..... theres the other way. Too bad I cant tell you on gamespot.

An iso is a removable media (CD/DVD/Bluray/UMD) image. Its like all the files in a CD, all those different folders are contained in the removable media icon, its image, its ISO.

And I dont think downloading PS1 isos is illegal anymore because they have stopped being produced. So its like downloading SNES, N64, Megadrive games for an emulator :P

Even though the material may not be produced anymore, it is still copyrighted and it is illegal to download and play on emulators if the creator of the game has not given permission to have it for free. It is not illegal, however, if you own the game in its original media or as some part of a collectors series...or if you pay a monthly subscription to a gaming service that offers the game and get it through them. In some way and at some point, the company had to make money off of you in order to make it legal. And while we're on the subject, what the hell happened to Sony's promise that we'd have the ability to download PS1 games directly to our PSP in the "coming Winter". Winter has come and gone!

Lol. I think Sony are a bit too occupied with the demands of the PS3 at the moment.

But honestly, Sony should pay these Dark Alex and other hackers to encourage them to produce more software for the PSP (not ISO launching, stuff like playing your own PSX games, PSP remote, PSP Radio). Not only would they widely popularise the homebrew scene with excellent apps, PSP sales might just rise.

Hackers are more widely applauded and have made more advancements over the recent years than the paid, dedicated Sony team :D. Makes me laugh at how hackers are using the PSP more to its potential than the people who made the system are.

No, u just need DARK ALEX'S custom Firmware 3.03 oea +...  The emulator is built right in, i would know because i have like 7 ps1 games on psp. All the musts like FF7 8 9 ect.  And if your wondering, YES i do have MOST of the games i have on my memstick as psx cds. The ones i dont, i have owned at one time or another. So no, downloading ISOs ISNT illegal in terms of the law if you OWN the game your downloading. But theres so many loopholes its better to just ignore it all anyway :P

And yes,  google is your friend for these types of things.

ps. Type in DARK ALEX custom firmwaare 3.10 oea and ull pretty much be set form there :)Â
