History of PS1

It was $299.99 when it launched.

At the time the PlayStation cost $400.00 for the console, memory card and 1 game. The retailer had a mandatory bundle at launch. But this was the bare minimum to get started with the original PlayStation. At the time it didn't come with a pack in game, just a demo disc. So you had to get a game, and PS1 memory card.
