I've tried all of the suggestions and ive tried everything and i cant seem to get it pass 4%. Some of you are playing the new demos AND I WANT TO ALSO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone please help id appreciate it a lot.
I was trying it last night and it kept stopping at 4%. I tried again this morning. It worked fine. It downloads really quick as well. It was finished downloading before I went to Marching Band about a half an hour later. Try it at some obscure time when the servers aren't as busy, maybe...

Restart ur ps3, thats wat I did. Other then that check ur connection.
I still don't understand why you guys are having such a hard time with this update. I downloaded mine with ease and installed it with ease. Since yesterday, I've had no odd problems you guys keep stating.
I don't know why some people are having problems with the updates and others are not. 1.92 shut down my online capability for 8 days and nothing the techs at sony told me to do worked. Finally after installing the update on my linksys router I was back in business.
wow, I wonder what's wrong with yours... mine downloaded in like 15-30 min last night on the first try. It didn't really seem to fix anything for me anyway.
I had exactly the same problem. 4% and then an error message. Tried over and over - and over multiple days. I finally took a suggestion I saw here and disabled media functionality under network, and then opened the browser (which I have never used) and cleared cookies and the cache.
The next attempt worked fine - but no faster than prior updates.
It must be acting up but its worked fine for me. The new demos are Tony Hawk Proving Ground(Unexpected) and PixeUunk and Harry Potter OoTP...not much but its good.
step 1 goto settings and turn off media server. step 2 goto browser and click traingle and clear all 3 (cache, cooke, and that last one) step 3 try downloading 1.93.
I tried 4 times yesterday. Worked on the 4th try. Why? It is because everyone is trying to downloading 1.93 at the same time. If I were you, I try it 5 times. Then go do something else and try it 4-6 hrs later.I almost gave up on my 4 try but luckily it worked. It is not your ps3, it is just the network is getting hammered with so many people trying to download at the same time.
