I have a flat panel TV that is HD, but it has to be about the worst looking thing I've ever seen. If you're too low you can't see anything, and the same goes if you're too far left or right. Basically the TV is poo, but lets you view it in 1080i, so it looks decent when my Bro plays his 360 on there. It has no HDMI and it's only 20 inches

I'd like to get a PS3 sometime in the next month or right before GTA IV comes out. Would it be worth it without a nice HDTV?

And since I've already made a thread. Would it be better to buy the new 80 GB combo or a $499 60 GB PS3?

Thanks. :)

Yes and pick yourself up a component cable for it while you're at it. And if you have internet hooked up to it you can download the latest updates and set some cool wallpaper behind your XMB.

Its the gameplay that matters. So yes buy one. Why cant you use your current HD TV? Is it that bad? I would reccomend to buy the 60 gig because they are taking out hardware backwards compatibility out and putting in software backwards compatiblity.

not really. not enough games out yet. Main thing with ps3 right now is it looks fantastic but you're not gonna see that on SD.

Def worth it, you can always save for a HD TV, But def worth getting, you wont regret it
