next patch MUST!

I have downloaded demos b4 and i can play games while downloading them.

Today i got COD 4, great game but i wanted to play it online sad thing is that i relised i had to download 2 patches! how come
i cant play and download a patch but i can with demos there should be an option once it has finished downloading to install that will boot in game! anyone agree?

download not install, the patch downloads saves to hhd and then u can choose to install when u want? wouldnt that work?Milky_1674

I see it as a safety precaution. What if your the patch file you downloaded was corrupted somehow? Which will brick your PS3 during installation. With a corrupted demo or vid, it simply won't run. Which equals no harm done.
