A few hours ago, the press revealed some facts about Dark Souls II. Too hard the first dark souls? well, developers want to increase their clients. So it says in the site Gaming Polyvore, creators of Dark Souls II have confirmed some new mechanics, including the change of the gameplay difficulty "suitable for most players". Game changes from the first Dark Souls include:

- Full regenerating health.
- Infinite stamina (no more stamina bar)
- Decreased boss-difficulty.
- A new mechanic to show the player where to go.

Looks like it will be a third person Call of Duty with swords...

I doubt From Soft is going to tamper with a winning formula that much. If it's not broke don't fix it.

As much as that post may be trolling, it actually WOULD be a good idea to have those options switched off at default but if one wishes can switch them on.

Or even better, to make beating the game more rewarding, give those Extra-Options out as reward for beating it once, though that wouldn't make it any more accessible.

But how many games reward you with an Ultra-Hard-Mode nowadays when you beat them? Why not also try the other way around with a Super Easy / Godmode as reward for finishing it once?

Even if these changes were real, the developers could make the game have two different modes. You could have classic mode for old fans and beginner mode for new players.
