Need tips on buying a used PS3

#1 Edited by iPixelation (25 posts) -

Hello, Pixel here. I've been thinking about picking up a used PS3 for two specific games (Heavy Rain and The Last of Us) for quite some time now. With the release of the PS4 late last year, I think it's time to get myself one due to 1) High Supply and 2) Low Demand; which all points to lowered prices. However, I do not have much experience with consoles and would greatly appreciate tips & advice on things to look out for when buying a used console.

On a side note, I do know that I want a PS3 Slim for the reduced bulk and improved energy efficiency.

Not much to say other than, buy from a trusted seller.

Try eBay and find a trusted seller (over 100+ feedback). If you're afraid of getting scammed just find a Gamestop and get their used PS3's, they usually have an ok price on those.

I personally wouldn't buy a 2nd hand console for saving £20 - £40 , if it's going to be your main gaming console get a brand new one with the warranty. Ps.. Loved both those games.
