Got my ps3 back today after it ylod. I got it fixed at a local shop here rather then sending it to sony. My question is can the ps3 be fully fixed after ylod or will it ylod again soon? They said that it over heated.. If it breaks again im just gonna go ahead and buy a new one.. an answer would really help guys..

Thanks

Nothing can ever be fixed so it will never break again. Being honest, it is more likely for the refurbished PS3 to break again than a brand new PS3 would be, but that doesn't mean it will. You can't ever tell.

Not to scare you or anything but YLOD will come back after months because the nature of the problem is due to repeated heat/cold process which Im sure your repair shop has already explained to you well.

Just make sure you show all the love you could to your PS3 while its alive :)

Yep, that is about all you can do. My refurbished console died about 6 months after the first repair. My 3rd one has lasted just over a year now so hopefully it will keep going because I love playing it.

I think they changed the thermal paste to a better one, which will help a lot to prevent overheating.
