Who cares? Why do people care about games going multiplat? Metal Gear wasn't ever a full time exclusive for Sony. MGS1 was made for the Gamecube, and MGS3 was ported over to the Xbox 1 at one point. Metal Gear started on the MSX computer system. It was later ported to the NES. People need to stop with their fanboy fanboyism. Third parties are entitled to make more money by putting their games on multiple systems.
1 and 2 were also remade for gamecube, 3 is being ported to 3DS, so this is just another place for 2 and 3 to end up. It's not totally surprising since Sony doesn't own the rights to this game, there is nothing keeping Konami from taking it to wherever they will make money on it.

2 wasn't remade for the gamecube. MGS1 was but it used the MGS2 game engine. Other than that, I agree with your post 100% Sorry, the inner nerd came out for a second.
