I want a remake only if controls are ground zero/ phantom pain style. Of course extra content since the game took 2 hrs to finish after playing a few times just RE 2 did as well.
How about a $10-$15 remake of old part 1 & 2 from nintendo
I don't own any Nintendo platforms and I've never completed MG1 or 2.. If they remade them with updated controls for any system I own I would definitely check them out.
NES never had MGS, they just had MG. PS1 had the first MGS game.
So it would be the PS1 game to answer your question.
I own them all and I remember the day Metal Gear Solid was announced. I was excited because I loved playing MG on NES. I also remember reserving MGS and waiting for it to release and buying it day one for $40 at the time.
I would welcome a Metal Gear remake as well though...we are sort of heading that way with MGSV (story wise it's leading up to the first MG).

This would rock if Metal Gear Solid 1 were remade using the Fox engine. I would even be happy if the Gamecube version of MGS1 was re-released for the PS4.
But not if this results in a delay for the release of MGS 5 The Phantom Pain. Which is supposed to be ready for Dec 2014?

Solid Snake abandoned using CQC after defeating Big Boss because he taught him & of how he reacted and only went back and used them in the event of MGS4 where they become a necessity. so having him use them would be kind a strange and would effect the storyline but it is no big deal as Kojima is making the story more complex than it is. beginning with the age of Big Boss. I remember Liquid telling Snake that Big Boss was in his late 50's when they created his copies

Agreed. I am always looking for new takes on games as I'm sick of these annualized games. He takes his time with games and we get a much better experience for it. I love new IPs as well from various devs. It's always a breath of fresh air.

True, i still have to play the rest of the games in the series tbh. But i loved MGS 1

I would like that. Since that IS the real originals.
The originals were from the MSX. Not the NES. The first NES game was a fairly lousy adaptation and the second NES game has nothing to do with the rest of the series.
