Which green light? there's the one next to the power button, and there's one that tells you if your PS3 is connected to the internet? The power one doesnt flicker, but the internet one(the one next to the yellow light that tells you if the HDD is in use) does flicker from time to time.

Is your name referencing the Spanish word for pickle (pepino), or the Italian poet?

The green light that's close to the USB ports shows if the network is connected and when it's busy using the network (when it's flickering it's just showing that it's doing something over the network or internet).

Its not the spanish pickle or italian poet, but it also means joey(or little joe) in italian.

Sorry, I don't know anything about this. Try checking back if you have a warranty.

Mine doesn't flicker but I can see the green light in my PS3. There's a little opening at the bottom of the slot-drive and where the green light is suppose to be.

That light only shows the system is on and when it's in stand-by (off) this light is red. The light beside this light is blue when there's a disc in the drive. The tiny round light is for the network and shows if the network is connected and if it's busy, it's on constantly when it's connected and idle but when it's busy it flickers showing that it's doing something on the network. The yellow light is for the HDD when it's on or flickering it indicats that the HDD is busy (sometimes if stays it on solid for a longer than normal time it could mean a lose HDD connection or a faulty HDD).

The big green light on the far right is solid when turned on and flashes when turning off

the small green light by the USBs flickers when you are connected to a wireless network (ie. Wi-fi)
