Do the older fat PS3s have a bigger problem with this than the newer slim ones? I'm thinking of seeing if they will replace it with a newer one, but I don't want to lose my PS2 gaming ability...
I have a couple of PS2 games that I still play on a fairly regular basis(due to being too broke to buy new games...). I'd hate to have to give them up, but I'm tired of this crap. I don't like having to spend $150(now $300) on a $600 investment. Calling Sony tomorrow and figuring something out.

I would throw that ps3 out of window if that happened to me :P But yeah, Uncharted games push the hardware to the limit, my PS3 slim gets louder when playing these games. Just like LA Noire.

My fatty died earlier this year and I fixed it. Then it broke again. I bought a slim. You think you'll miss PS2 games but you won't. Besides almost every single one of my PS2 games has had an HD re-release.
