I've never played SOCOM before but reserved it today.

Personaly I don't think the game looks all that great to me. But since the game comes with a headset I figured I couldn't go wronge.

Someone offer me some reasureance and tell me this games gonna be good.

If you liked cod:4 then you should like this game. It should be similar only squad based and in 3rd person mode. Kind of like sabotage or headquarters. The last one was really good and had a lot of online versatility.

Please DO NOT THINK COD4 when talking Socom. COD4 was all run and gun while Socom is very strategic especially if your playing like it was meant to be played, WITHOUT respawns. You'll like it if you take it serious and communicate. The community is the best thats out there.

Get on that headset and get on that mission soldier :)

COD4 and Socom in the same sentance?...No.

They are 2 TOTALLY DIFFERENT games. Nothing is the least bit similar in terms of online n gameplay. I fear that COD4 will kill what is true socom gameplay. And I have seen some of this through the beta.
