loads and loads of fps out there. just like music were they play the same song over and over again. do you think there going to kill the popularity of the whole fps game. is this laziness from the devs. is this how thre couping with the high price of making games withthis gen. think about it they don't need a story or a main character with animation ect.
FPS's are just as a valid market as any other genre. There's like 10 out of 900 games that are FPS coming out this year. I wouldn't necessarily call that too many.
I haven't played a good FPS since Half-Life Episode One came out and maybe only one or two others before that in the last year and a half.
There's a lot of FPS fans out there including myself who think it's about time we get some good stuff.
Personally I believe it's the most immersive experience of any video game design, and I'm looking forward to nearly all of the big ones I saw at E3.

that is your opinion. Personally, I like third person shooters better than FPS, but I like adventure games the most(something like Uncharted).
