I'm Holding alttle Questionare to find out if Metal Gear Fans like Raiden now. I'm a Metal Gear Fan and I know alot of People who at 1st didn't like the character Raiden. So I'm asking you guys now that you've seen the new and improved MGS4 Raiden Do you like him? I for one do. What I need from you guys is a yes or no answer mostly. Do you like Raiden?

This is an important post for me because Raiden is my hands down favorite character in MGS2 SONZ OF LIBERTY. I however don't like him becoming a sell-out in MGS4 with his "cool, new, everybody likes me now" look. He was mainly their to appeal to japanses gamer's i believe and now withh his wannabe cyber suit, americans will probably like him alot more now.

Yes I guess I do like Raiden, although in MGS2 he was confused but he learned his lesson from Snake. Hopefully he now fights for a cause worth believing in. I guess I'll find out in MGS4.

I didn't find him amazing, but I did not dislike him at all.

He was a decent protagonist in MGS2 that is quickly pushed to the support role by the generally complex and well developed characters of the MGS franchise (yes, some support characters have more depth to them than Raiden himself, frankly, but that would be bashing the script, and not the actual character itself).

I didn't like him in MGS2, but what I've seen in MGS4 he's awesome.

lol i have this crazy idea that raiden underwent like the initiation session by all the fans with mgs2, and he just starting to be accepted, just remember guys hideo has it all thought out in his head, you know he means wellsupras989

I think the main reason people didn't like him, or at least this is why I didn't, was because I bought the game looking forward to playing Snake...

Same. Raiden never bothered me as an annoying character.

At first it was annoying not being able to play as snake, but he is ok.

You think he is a noob then you realise that he has been fighting scince he was 4 or something and was called some war name like "jack the ripper."

Now though he looks cool with the swords and armour.

I think the reason hideo kojima made this character was to build snakes character from a third person perspective.

There was nothing wrong with Raiden in MGS2 it was his first solo sneaking mission and as you progress through the game you get to know more about him and how he was during his childhood.

So if you want to know if I had liked Raiden or not I had no problems playing as him.
