I'm buying a PS3

I've had a 360 for quite a while now, but I've decided a PS3 would be awesome. Blue-ray is a big reason, but the biggest reason is I wanna try some games out that look awesome. My first buys are gonna be God of War 3 and Killzone2. I'm still not very familiar with PS3 and was wondering what you guys would suggest getting as a new comer? Thanks.

Both Uncharted games are MUST for your collection.

it's impossiable to give game recomendations to other people! because only you know what you like. like they say some peoples trash is another mans treasure. i like some games that got bad reviews and arent that popular in these forums but thats there opinion not mine.

Definitely Uncharted 1 & 2.

I thought InFamous was a good time (if a little repetative).

Perhaps the two Resistance games...

for sure u have to get the execlusive games...i will give my opinion on the games i like:

metal gear solid 4, uncharted 1 & 2, recistence 2, killzone 2,god of war 3, infamous, little big planet, heavy rain, heavenly sowrd

u can try MGS4, darksiders, infamous, demon souls, resistance 1, 2. theres a good amount of good games u can try

I would say get the uncharted games, the ratchet games, Valkyria Chronicles, the resistance games, Infamous, Demon's Souls, 3D Dot Game heroes.

Uncharted 1 and 2 definitely. Those are some sick ass games, especially in HD, beautiful graphics and an awesome 3rd person shooter. Also, I LOVED GOW3 but to be honest, if your going to play the gameplay , even if you play it on difficult, you might be done with it quick. So, I would recommend that as a rental if your on a low budget. But if you don't mind spending money on a game that would probably be quick, and if you'll play it more often than once, GOW 3 is a great choice. I'd definitely go with that. I'm hearing as well that Killzone games are fun and Resistance as well.

You might have more luck on the Recommendation Thread, but I really enjoyed (well, all of my games) Red Dead Redemption when I started off.

Little Big Planet if you like platformers.

God of War 3 is you like epic hack and slash games.

Killzone 2 if you like challenging FPS.

Heavy Rain if you want to try something unique.

Everyone goes crazy over Uncharted 1 & 2. I played 2 and thought it was gorgeous but a little boring. But if you're into quasi-Indiana Jones TPS games you should at least try it.

Metal Gear Solid 4 if you like stealth TPS with crazy Japanese storytelling.

Demon's Souls if you want a hardcore RPG experience.
