I would go with patapon! the greatest game of all time! all you need is headphones with you and you good to go!

If you want a fast action game then id go with star wars battlefront renegade squadron which is amazing.

actually about 7 hours on god of war, and although crisis core will last you a long time... it gets boring about 1/3 of the way through... oh and who cares if its mature rated??? hell i was playing grand theft auto 3 when i was 12 years old!!

a game is better when it is long. if d game is too short you cant really enjoy it.

Crisis Core or Disgaea. Disgaea is a great game and will definately last u a long time, it is also very appropriate for your age

saying patapon is the greatest game of all time is a STUPID statment, it is a very very god game but sertainly not the best.

i would say monster hunter 2 but that requires guides and things (later on in the game) and if you are traveling using the internet for guides might not be an option.

so i would go with either FF:CC, or disgaea (god of war is cool but no 4-5 hour game is worth full retail pricing.

Patapon is great, but if you're looking for something that will take you more time than many console games then go for Disgaea. Its the longest game I've ever played (except for oblivion, but oblivion isn't portable, so it doesn't count).

I think I'm gonna go play Disgaea now :D

Well if he's 14 then it would be harder for him to get GoW than CC FFVII, but yea get Crisis Core its real good.
