i def. can't wait to see what the trophy system looks like. does anyone have any idea how our ps3 games are gonna be able to use the trophy system on games we already own???? are we going to have to download patches for every game until developers begin the create ps3 games with trophies??? i hope gta4 has trophies right after i download 2.4 because i have nothing left to do in that game. plus we better get some little cool screennotificationin the upper right of the screen after a trophy has been collected.
You will be able to get trophies for already released games but it will come at a price, as the developers have to go back and do work. Sony is saying that it will be about $5 per game. Thats not bad though. I am going to get it for GTA IV for sure. Instead of having the notifications, the PS3 is going to play a jingle when you collect one. The trophies you collect will be placed in a section called "My Garage". Unfortunately, there are no points associated with this system.

there will be a little message just like the 1 that sais when i friend is online etc. saying u have unlocked a trophy or accomplishment. they will be free just like they are with 360 games and the few ps3 games that already have the accomplishments/trophies build in.
