Hello,

I am a big PC gamer and I have noticed that on certain lcd monitors,if they have a slower refresh rate of 5ms, you can see ghosting or blur vision on games, especially FPS games.

I have noticed alot of lcd tv's have a refresh time of 8ms. The one lcd I want to buy is a 32 inch lcd that has 6ms refresh rate. I dont want to list the manufacture of the lcd screen, because I dont want to get in a discussion which lcd screen to buy.

MY question is, has anyone noticed any ghosting or blurriness on the PS3, and if not what is the refresh rate on the lcd screen you are using.

what size of lcd do you have, does the size of the screen matterat all when it comes to ghosting. Are bigger lcds more noticible?

I have aSony KDL-40V2500 LCD(40"; 1080p; 8ms). No problems. Beautiful picture. I think what it comes down to is you get what you pay for.

32" Samsung. I have limited knowledge on the subject to be honest, but I always thought smaller screens have a higher rate of ghosting, like the PSP LCD screen for example. I might be wrong of course tho.

You might want to ask in the General Hardware forum:

http://uk.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_topics.php?board_id=909096001

You're more likely to get a definitive answer there.

Yeah your right. Well I did a lot of research and Sony makes great lcd tvs. The LCD I picked out is the Panasonic TC-32LX700. It is in my budget and I cant afford a larger tv due to the fact of the cost of the PS3 and the games and accessories I bought.

Got it in March 07 online from a US retailer, Butterfly Photo, for $2000 (included shipping and extended in-home 5 year warranty). It's even cheaper now, so I would suggest picking it up in a brick-and-mortar place. I think I got lucky with an online retailer.

Yeah, I heard Butterfly was TERRIBLE in almost every aspect.

But my $480 (after tax) Vizio from Wal-mart has no ghosting.

All of this "get what you pay for" stuff is a nice opinion to have...as a matter of fact I used to feel the same way...but it isn't always right. I bought a Sony KDL-46XBR2 in February, thought I was good forever. $3600 I spent on it...I got this:

So I returned it and waited. I eventually decided on a Westinghouse TX-42F430S...

No clouds, no ghosting, a picture that is right up there when compared to my ex-Bravia (I'm not lying)...all for 1/3 of the cost.

Research the product, in your price-range you might not have much breathing room but I saved 2500 dollars that was put into buying a PS3 and DS lite, plus a whole lotta games.

Its not a well known brand (at least I dont think it is), but Westinghouse makes pretty good LCD HDTVs. I have a 27" model myself and only had one problem. I watched Tv in standard mode (ie not full screen) and it suffered from some burn in at the image's border. However, when I switched to Fullscreen mode the burn in seemed to fade away (like it fixed itself). Aside from that, I have had no other problems (ghosting, motion blur, etc.,) and it has a 8ms refresh rate ^^v (note: is connected to Ps3 via HDMI)

Note: 27" Westinghouse at Best Buy= $650 (with tax) so, pretty cheap in terms of HDTV, but good quality ^^

Yeah....most TVs look bad when you shine a bright flashlight at them from that angle. Nice try....

But I still love my Sony 46 inch and never had any problems.

Did you get a washer and dryer with that Westinghouse?
