How can we help you if we don't know what boss you are stuck with? are your difficulties set to normal? cause if its in hard mode and its your first time to play ff cc then you will REALLY have a hard time beating it.v
study the moves the boss does mix materia if you can make better ones hitting him in the back will do critical damage and do all the side missions you can so you get stronger watch some youtube video's on the boss and how to kill him if needed which you shouldnt have to resort to the game isnt that hard atleast on normal mode hard mode however is another story finished hard mode without new game+ but took me alot of work and im not a bad gamer.

Well in any case just go to Gamefaqs.com and look up some walkthroughs and find where you are in the game, there might even be a Boss Battle guide there.
