What kind of LCD TV are you using? What resolution 720p or 1080p?

I am eyeing for Samsung series 4 for 720p and series 6 for 1080p. Anyone here using this kind of LCD TV please give me insights.

I need help Thanks.

I would say you cant go wrong with a samsung. Whichever series you choose or can afford. You wont be disapointed. I would suggest 1080p though as more and more games support that resolution now. That way you get best picture quality for your games.

I would suggest 720, but only because I have it and the graphics look amazing.

Except that Blu-ray movies are 1080p, so the TC would be better off getting a 1080p set to take full advantage of his PS3.

Stick with a 720p tv if you are going to get a screen smaller than 37 inches and try to get a 1080p tv if you are going beyond that. In any case it comes down to budget but i would say if money is tight then get a 720p tv and if not get the 1080p you wont regret it :)

not if its a 38" tv you don't. 1080 doesn't become important until your tv starts getting larger, around 42" - 46"
i've eyed a 1080p and 720p 38" sony and there was no difference in clarity between the 2 at all.

If you can afford it, I would say go with the Series 6 from Samsung. They have great color levels and black levels, plus if you're into it, it also has 120hz processing. Samsung has just released their newer sets for this year so you might be able to find a few stores that are clearancing them out to make room for the new stuff. I work at best buy in the home theater department and i can tell you that we have been cutting the prices off of them to get them out the door. Not because they are bad but just because we have to make room on our shelves for this years models.

Not LCD, but a 50" Rear-projection HDTV. 720p for games, 1080i for movies.

I personally think that 720p works better for gaming, while 1080i (mine can't display 1080p) is better than 720 for watching movies.
