Having a problem with Metal Gear Solid 4.

After the briefing for Act IV, the game starts but the screen is black. I can still move around and everything and hear the game but the screen is black. Anybody have this problem?

I've had this problem before... but only online, which normaly it resumed after a couple of mins or so. Or at the very worst I had to reset the console and never had the problem since. But on single player I've never had the problem so all I can say is try it a few times and if it persits ethier check your disk for damage and attempt to clean it or try contacting konami. Hope this helps :)

Yeah I was thinking about hitting up Konami. The game is brand new I just bought it last friday so there's nothing on the disk. I heard this part is a flashback and it's MGS1 so maybe that has something to do with it? This is pissing me off because I love this game so far and really want to finish it.

It shouldn't be anything to do with the flashback as far as I know... it should be the same loading that section of the game as any other section. I'd get on to konami especially if its a new game as your warrenty will still be in place, but I'm not sure how good they are on customer service... but I imagine them to be quite desent, so give it a shot.

alright I deleted the install then reinstalled it and it still does the same thing. This is kind of making me mad now.

alright problem solved guys i switched the display and when it got back to component it worked so everything is all good

what are your tv settings? that flashback goes to 4:3 ratio and is in sd that could have something to do with it.
