It is a bit premature to say with any certainty.

two big companys saying bluray has won bestbuy pushing hddvd to the back or not selling them at all exclusive movies coming to bluray only i think the only thing keeping hddvd on lisse support is walmart but for how long when the bluray players drop below 499 thats it

wasnt the walmart thing just a rumor?

the only support they have is Universal who, once they start losing money, will convert to Blu-ray.

With blockbuster bluray exclusive in most stores and every other company with bluray, they will start to think 'Uh oh, im being left behind here'

It's too hard to tell who won the war. Hopefully it won't be like sony's last time trying to take over formats. They failed miserably... But ya, Brian Littell you're absolutley correct :)

Still too early to tell. Still too many exclusives to both formats. Just because Blockbuster stopped carrying it in B&M stores doesn't affect their online rentals of HDDVD's or their competitors.

I chose the easy route and got both players ;)

Though, my PS3 might win it for me, because it let's me do 1080p over HDMI whereas I'd have to try and find a 360 Elite to let me have that capability for my HDDVD addon (though 720p is still pretty nice looking too).

a little two early? dont you read the signs? HD DVD had to lower thier systems to $200 just a year after their release they are making no money at all off those players. the other HD dvd camps will not drop their prices that lowand lose money on a dieing format. im sorry it over. once universal moves to BD, which im sure is the next announcment coming

What's good of a player that cheap if theres barely any good movies? That's what I'm saying. I've back the format with the most support, ever since Blu Ray came out it have the most support.

The news of the Blue-Ray wining the battle for next generation movie players. I think in the next few days or weeks we may see the gaming developers put some games for other consoles on the back burner and put a huge amount of effort in developing games on Blue-Ray.

The only result is Blu-ray wins or neither wins. MS is just funding HD-DVD as long as possible to undercut the PS3 as much as possible.

Let us not forget that Blockbuster Video announced yesterday that they are abandonding HD in 1400 of their stores and then up to 2500 of their stores. That would be a HUGE blow!
