i have guitar hero 1 and 2 for the ps2 got a ps3 so can't use them on it if i keep the games will i be able to play them if i just bought a ps3 giutar???
well you'll be able to play GH1 and 2 once you buy GH3, GH3 comes with the game and new Les Paul Shaped wireless guitar. i'm sure it'll be able to play 1 and 2. GH3 comes out on the 28th
I borrowed a PS2 slim and GH1 from a friend. I thought it had a good set of songs. I would love to own it, but that would mean buying a PS3 guitar controller. I'm not sure that it is worth it.
I also borrowed Rocks the 80s from him. That was not a very good set at all IMHO.

In all of the hands on previews so far they have said that the PS3 wireless guitar will NOT work with GH1, GH2, or GH80s played in the PS3. Another site said limited compatibility. Ask again on the forums once GH3 is out and see if someone can try them to be sure before you buy one.

wait so is there an adaptor for ps3 that will let you use the ps2 guitars??? or do you think they will make an update or somthen i sure as hell hope so we can play with the ps3 guitar!!!

Right, but on the official Guitar Hero forums there was a post by a moderator on the site that the PS3 Les Paul would work with GH1 and just the whammy bar and star power sensor didn't work for GH2 and GH80s. I plan on getting GH3 as soon as it's out. When I get it, I'll toss in GH2 and see.
i was just thinking instead of everyone thinking guitar hero3 guitars would work with the past games.
wouldnt it make more sense if rock bands guitars work because in the old games harmonix made the periphals, and harmonix is making rock band.
Red octane = software ..... Harmonix = hardware .... right? granted the coding for the guitar probably came from red octane but im curious why no-one asked if rock band's worked

hey what do you guys think about an online petition to get many guitar hero gamers to ask activision, harmonix, and sony to release the patch for the guitar cntrollers and
make it so you can play all GH's on PS3.
