what games are great for ps3?? im broke and new games are very expensive so i will only be buying 2 games for awhile. I have already decided that i need cod4, but what is another ps3 game that is very good, worth 60 bucks, and has a great replay value?

COD4 and Uncharted, can't go wrong for either.

or wait a month and get GTA4, then another month ang get Haze, then another month and get MGS4, thats gonna be one great gaming period...

If you want games to last you a long time, buy the online ones.

Warhawk *I didn't like it because of the learning curve, but you might*

The Orange Box *really fun*

Unreal Tournament *It's okay I had it for awhile, but it just sat in my collection*

and Call of Duty 4 is a must own on any system.

If you want a good one too, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is good too.

For great replay value you should get Oblivion:GOTY edition and Warhawk. I have played both for over 80+ hrs each.

Oblivion: Game of the year edition will last you for a long time. Tons of re-playability and download-able content in Folklore. You can't go wrong with either one. :)

I only have three PS3 games - the rest are multiplats and other exclusives on the 360. I have for the PS3, Uncharted, MLB 08 the Show and Resistance. Those three are awesome, with the Show as my fav - then uncharted. I think COD4 is a must have title ... so is the Show if you are a baseball fan.

id say your best bet of right now is ... oblivion g.o.t.y edition + unreal tournament III

that way you have a great role playing game (oblivion) that lasts like 200+ hours its huge

then also have a great online shooter (UT3)

Burnout is awesome, but for true racing I still have to go with Motorstorm. Both winners IMO.

Spiderman imo is kinda decent.

Anyway id say download the demos and see what you like because everyone is always saying uncharted but i tried the demo and thought it sucked.

Here are some of the games I've experienced as excellent:

RPG: The elder scrolls IV Oblivion. Very nice game. Has a long playtime (100 hours+), great visuals and nice gameplay. The sounds are excellent, and so are the quests. It is first-person based as well.

Action: Uncharted: Drake's fortune is a nice one. The best graphics I've seen. The gameplay is fun as well, (Gunfights and platforming) and I don't really feel any annoying parts in the game, which is good. The game isn't short, but it's definitely not long either. Has good replay value though, due to harder difficulties and skill points / unlockable cheats.

Shooter: The Orange Box, is a nice one, if you haven't tried out the Half-life two games. The HF2 games is a MUST-TRY, cause I think they're amazing myself. The box contains five games, (HF2, HF2:Episode1, HF2:Episode2, Portal, Team Fortress2)and they are all nice. Team Fortress 2 is online-only, but it's a lot of fun. Portal is epic as well.

Platform: Ninja Gaiden Sigma / Assassin's Creed: Both games are nice. They have a long play time, and they are both entertaining in each way. If you hear people blaming Assassin's Creed for being boring, don't listen - It's because they expected a lot from the game. (As well did I, but it's still great) The games doesn't really have any replay-value, but because of their length, it doesn't matter. Both games, or at least NGS, should be rather cheap, due to they have been on the market quite long.

Other: Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction: Yeah, that's it. 7.5 from Gamespot. Don't believe it. It's very nice. If you've tried out one of the other Ratchet and Clank games, (Besides Gladiator/Deadlocked) You'll definitely like this one. It's very nice. Good replay value as well, due to upgradeable weapons and tools.

If COD 4 counts as one of the two you're buying, go with MLB 08 The Show as the other. If you're getting 2 in addition to COD 4, I'd also recommend Uncharted.
