Does anyone know of a good program to organize music to put on the PSP? Whenever I try to put music on by just placing it in the MUSIC folder, it just puts it in alphabetical order and the artists don't show up.

Guys, I was having this same issue with my PSP, with over 3000 songs taking up 10Gigs ( i have 32GB on my PSP, using Photofast'CR-5400 and 2x16GB MicroSD CL6), to just pass it over, drag and drop style, would be ludicrous and incredibly time consuming to scroll down thousands of songs just to to get to a title that starts with a S or T or something...so I found this nifty lil guide written by a pretty smart fella, Kingbee116, showing you how to organize mp3s al la ipod style, at the very least with folders organized by Artists, with songs inside the folders...check it out its pretty brilliant, he even shows you how to add album covers and file information

Kudos to Kingbee116 for his hard work on the guide..

The PSP orders digital audio numerical and then by alphabet. Use Itunes, they have the best tag editor on the market. Tags are your music infomation...Song title, Artist & Album name You can also attach the Album or Single jpeg to the file. Use Itunes to convert all your wavs and mp3s to the AAC format, and then update your tag infomation and then hit save. When you remove your USB and open your music folder all of your songs will be in alphabetical order. If you want to change the order of your default playlist put 00, 01, 02, 03 etc in front of the song name and there you go a perfect playlist.
Remember Itunes is the way to go for editing tags. Tags are the digitals file's song info, Use the AAC format its 2009, mp3s are for losers, There you go. Coming from a 8GB Memory Stick owner, with over 6GB worth of music and pictures on my PSP.
Get your moneys worth champ
Peace & Love

Everything you just said can be done a whole lot easier with Itunes. Just open your digital audio file in Itunes and edit the tags,,,including the album cover Jpeg. save it and then go. Its that simple.
