This summer I have decided that I am going to get a PS4 Pro and a 4K TV for two reasons. First, my roommate has and old plasma that is falling apart and that has some serious ghosting issues. I have a 42" Samsung LED Smart TV and since we are good friends I told him I would sell it to him for $275 (which he gladly agreed with). On Dell's website, I can get a 50" 4K Samsung Smart TV for about $700, but I will get a $200 gift card to use on their site which I can put towards the PS4 Pro. Honestly, I am pretty excited- can't wait to play the new God of War and the new Dynasty Warriors in 4K.

I feel the longer I wait to get a 4K TV the better. I'm still considering getting a Pro just for the improved performance with 1080p. And the 1TB HDD is a decent upgrade. But I feel the longer I wait to buy it the more of a waste the purchase will be since I'm playing all these games without the benefits... meh, enjoy your purchases. I'd definitely love to have a 4K TV and Pro right now even though it seems a little soon to jump on the 4K bandwagon, especially when I think very few games are actually running in 4K anyway.

@mighty-lu-bu: 4k is ok, but is it HDR?

If its not HDR, its bad.

@SoNin360: Going to get a Samsung Smart 4K TV, and then the PS4 Pro. That being said, I am going to get a 2TB SSHD which is the best option for a console- SSDs are too damn expensive, but SSHDs are just right.

@mighty-lu-bu: I was about to say that an SSHD sounds like an unnecessary because I don't think the PS4 would benefit enough from it, but I didn't realize that they barely cost more than a standard HDD. Sounds like a very interesting idea. Maybe if I don't end up getting a Pro I'll just upgrade my current PS4's space because I'm constantly having to delete games to make room.

@SoNin360: Yeah man, you can get a 2TB SSHD for $89 and it has huge improvements over a regular HDD.

@SoNin360: Best decision I ever made, Horizon on the pro with HDR looks stunning. Just make sure whichever TV you go for has the compatible HDR with the ps4, as a lot of the cheaper brands don't work properly. My brother got a hisense one and it won't work, but my Samsung works fine.

In 2015? 5k has been out for awhile now. Its called the LG Ultrafine 5k...

4k by itself is shit, its ALL about HDR.

Spambot posts then immediately deletes post, hence the bump.
