I seen a article posted on gizmodo about EDGE doing a graph on the number of PSP releases. One would could describe it, sad.

Yeah, it is pretty sad, personally, I only have a PSP for it's RPGs and that's about it. But it's true, Sony may possibly killing PSP's first party exclusives since most go on to have a PS2 version, such as Ratchet and Clank Size Matters.

Remember that there is about a 1-2 year development delay. The uptick in the second year was the developers releasing their first wave of games, then it dropped off when it seemed like the PSP was dead (when the DS sky rocketd and Sony held tight to their high price). Now that the price drop has come and the 2000 has come out, and with the 3000 on the way I'm hopeful we will see a return of third party support over the next 12 months.

The problem is that with the gap in good releases the majority of players may go elsewhere and the PSP might not recover.

This is stupid IMO. Why not support the PSP? Also, the PSP does not lack good games. On my list, theres 82. Since Yggdra Union just came out, that made it 83.

The 2000 model was a needed update but still has the same design flaws as the original and the 3000 model is the same. That nub sucks and needed to be re-designed for 2000/3000. Anyone know the projected number of releases for 2009?

we all dont need too get mad. its sony problem because they dident make a blue-ray for the psp to hold more data on games.the psp now is stuck in ps1/ps2 game style and the developers dont like that and dont have much time in doing it thats why i said the psp too them is a side job they have more things too do and want to make more money makeing wii/ps3/360 game that cost 60+ and not 30-40$.and thats how we come too the lack of psp games

It might also help if we got a bit more demos, and gave Independent Developers access to the psp. I'd like to have an "arcade" for the psp :P

Over in Japan Monster Hunter series is popluar, over here in Europe and NA Crisis Core and God of War are really popluar.

I don't buy many PSP games at the moment I'm mostly waitng on Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep and FF Dissidia.
