Downloads slow on PS3?

is it just me or what? it seemed like it took 5-10 minutes to download an update. im using wireless on a cable router.

1. Dont use wireless 2. Put the PS3 in DMZ 3. Dont use wireless.

Wireless is slow. But I have yet to convince my SO that we should drill through the wall and the floor to pass an ethernet cord ;)

Mine where slow until firmware 1.93. After that, all my downloads have really sped up.

Mine was extremly fast tonight. Maybe I'm lucky? I'm using wireless too.

wireless isn't bad. i use it. granted i have the thing set to have all IPs open for connection, but not im DMZ mode.so really your thing isn't accurate. wireless works great, and im using it in a completly seperate room thats up stairs... so yea, any ways, my DLs are pretty fast.

Wireless is bad, it adds lag and extra latency to a link, and thats the last thing you want on a games machine.

Have my 160g PS3 hooked via wire to Verizon FIOS routwer. Downloads usually fly at 1-3mbs a second.

Okay dude it took me more than half an hour to download and install my first update
