Downloading Game Patches in Parts

Hey Guys,

I recently bought a ps4 and got Drive Club in the package. Turns out that Drive Club has 10gb of patches to download!

This is too much for our monthly data allowance which leads me to my question: is it possible to download patches for ps4 games in parts?

For example, can I download some of the patches (but not all) this month, and then download the rest of the patches next month?

I believe you can pause your patch download but you won't be able to play the game until you've finished downloading all the patches
